Vitamin D deficiency causes muscular pain

The current medical studies have shown that one of causes of muscular pain (myalgia) is vitamin D deficiency. In those with myalgia, blood vitamin D levels were generally lower (28.6 v 34.2 ng/mL). After the myalgic patients with vitamin D deficiency were treated with vitamin D at a dose of 50,000 IU each week for 12 weeks the symptoms of myalgia were resolved in more than 92 per cent of the individuals treated. This gives hope to individuals who are taking statin drugs for reducing cholesterol levels because statins treatment often causes myalgic symptoms.

B Vitamins Clean Out Arteries

For decades official medicine ignored the scientific evidence suggesting that lack of three vitamins of B group – B6, B12 and, the most important, folic acid (B9) – can trigger heart and strokes. Although our arteries are clean, open and elastic at birth, the process of artery clogging ( atherosclerosis or coronary artery disease) already begins early in life. One of the factors accelerating narrowing of arteries is excess homocysteine, an amino acid, which can accumulate in the plasma and triggers arterial plague and blood clot formation. Without enough these B vitamins in the diet, homocysteine starts building up in the body and becomes drawn into the endothelial cells. It interacts with “bad LDL cholesterol” to clog arteries (more…)

Coenzyme Q10: Advantage of Ubiquinol in Heart Failure Cases

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is vitamin-like substance which is vital for your heart health – the highest concentration of this essential nutrient is in your heart. Dr Peter Langsjoen has been treating thousands of heart failure patients with supplemental CoQ10 over last 24 years. Before this, he noticed that patients with advanced congestive heart failure had the lowest plasma CoQ10 levels. He also observed that daily administration of 450 mg of Ubiquinol (the reduced or active form of CoQ10) to his patients led to better results than that of treating them with 450 mg of Ubiquinone (the inactive from). Eventually, with Ubiquinol supplements his patients got their plasma CoQ10 level elevated up to 8.5 mcg/mL while
